Positive Signs is a series of ink drawings that illustrate quotes and interpret concepts from psychological studies by authors such as Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Martin E. P. Seligman, and Yi-Fu Tuan. The topics span learned optimism, creativity, and happiness as applied to the lives of artists and creative workers. Initially interested in what keeps artists motivated and resilient in their careers, Yap began researching the discipline of positive psychology. She shares ideas that might help artists and creatives maintain optimistic outlooks and better understand the creative process.
