Courtesy San Quentin’s Arts-in-Corrections Program
Goodman's painting in progress is a portrait of the Arts-In-Corrections workshop room, where classes in painting, drawing, printmaking, creative writing, poetry, Shakespeare, and music are offered to 300 of the 2,500 San Quentin inmates classified as “mainline.” There is a small press, where program participants can pull their own editions of relief prints.
